Good Relations Halloween Extravaganza Event

As part of the Good Relations Programme, ABC Community Development Department invited Heritage Places to participate in a series of family‑oriented Halloween events designed to help residents feel safe and connected within the Borough’s green spaces, including Lurgan Park, Dromore Town Park, and Edenville Park in Portadown.

Each event welcomed approximately 120 attendees and offered a variety of activities during the two‑hour sessions. A one of the activities was the Halloween heritage storytelling led by Aoife (Heritage Places Engagement Officer), who shared traditional ghost stories linked to the borough’s past. Stories included ‘The Green Lady’, Armagh, ‘The Greenway Ghost’, Portadown, ‘Margorie McCall – Lived Once, Buried Twice’, Lurgan stories were designed to reflect the tales and traditions of storytelling linked to each park location and raise the profile of heritage within the borough.
