Bloodshed at Brownlow – A World War Two Inspired Murder Mystery

Friday 6 June 2025

To help break down the barriers of heritage and its associated connotations, an interactive and engaging event inspired by the local history and heritage of the borough was created to raise profile of Heritage and Heritage Places.

The event was held in Brownlow Castle on Friday 6 June and was in collaboration with Brownlow Castle’s team and the Living History colleagues in the Tourism, Arts and Culture Department.

The story of the murder mystery was inspired by US officers who lived in Brownlow Castle during the World War 2 period. All was themed to encourage the attendees to engage in more heritage in a fun and entertaining manner.
