HERITAGE PLACES ENGAGEMENT
DROP-INS 2026
A number of informal drop-in sessions were hosted in all seven District Electoral Areas across the Borough. These took place in unusual venues and at different times in order to reach as many people as possible.
Individuals who the team spoke to where each given a flyer with the relevant details on how to share their thoughts on the Draft Heritage Strategy on the online consultation hub. The Heritage Places Engagement Cart was brought to each location and often provided a talking point to those who spoke to the team.
We visited:

- Dromore Community Centre, Dromore,
- Tesco, Portadown
- The Milestone, Rathfriland
- The Tommy Makem Centre, Keady
- Tesco, Lurgan
- Rushmere Shopping Centre, Craigavon
We received a diverse range of feedback including many of your favourite places to visit within the borough. We would like to thank everyone who got involved across our 7 locations.
Our findings of our drop-ins have been incorporated into Heritage Strategy.
