Heritage Places partnered with QUB CAPNI project to deliver two school engagement sessions to a school within the borough. The sessions introduced local Banbridge pupils to archaeology, explored key fieldwork skills and highlighted the importance of local heritage. The aim was to present history and heritage in a different engaging way and create an interest in our collective local past.
Both sessions were extremely well received, and all 64 pupils were engaged throughout. The expertise of the QUB Archaeology Staff was paramount to the success of the day.
